The book, Ornament of the Righteous and the Slogan of the Good People, called Al-Adhkar - by Imam Abi Zakaria Yahya bin Sharaf Al-Nawawi of Al-Dimashqi, who died in the year: 676 AHThe book is well known and needed by every monotheist of God.Authors introduction:Praise be to God, the One, the Omnipotent, the Mighty, the Forgiving, the Determiner of Destinies, the One who directs matters, turning the night into the day, an insight for the worthy of hearts and eyes, who awakened from His creation those who chose him and included him among the good men, and reconciled those whom he chose from among his servants, making him one of the righteous and close ones, and in his vision He made them the most beloved. So they strived to please Him, prepare themselves for the abode of decision, avoid what angers Him and beware of the torment of the Fire, and they took themselves diligently in obeying Him, and persevering in His remembrance in the evening and early morning, and when conditions were different and all night and day, so their hearts were illuminated by the sparkles of lights.I praise Him, give thanks for all His blessings, and I ask Him for more of His grace and generosity. And I bear witness that there is no god but God, the Great, the One, the Eternal, the Mighty, the Wise, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, His chosen one, His lover and His friend, the best of all creatures, and the most honorable of those who preceded and followed, and God’s blessings and peace be upon him and upon all the prophets and messengers, and the family of all and all the righteous.Then:1- God Almighty, the Mighty, the Wise has said: {Remember Me and I will remind you} [Al-Baqarah: 152] And the Almighty said: {And I created the jinn and men only to worship Me} [Al-Dhariyat: 56]. So it was known that the condition of the servant is better, or better, when he is reminded of the Lord of the worlds, and is occupied with the remembrances mentioned from the Messenger of God - peace be upon him - the master of the messengers.2- The scholars - may God be pleased with them - have compiled many books in the work of the day and night, supplications and remembrances that are known to those who know, but they are lengthy with chains of narration and repetition, thus weakening the determination of those who seek it. So I set out to compile this book, summarizing the purposes(1) of what I mentioned almost to the carers, and deleting the chains of transmission in most of it because of the preference I mentioned for shortening and because it is a topic for the worshipers, who are not looking to know the chains of transmission, rather they hate it even if it is shortened only to the few; And because what is intended is to know the adhkaar, act on it, and clarify its implications (2) for the guides. I will mention - God Almighty - instead of the chains of narrators, what is more important than them, which is often disturbed, which is an explanation of the authentic hadiths, their goodness, their weakness and their denial. The perfect memorizers, the clever and relied imams, and I will add to it, God willing, a number of precious things from the science of hadith, the subtleties of jurisprudence, the tasks of grammar, the disciplines of souls, and manners whose knowledge is assured to the walkers.3- We have narrated in: Sahih Muslim [No.: 2674], on the authority of Abu Hurairah - may God be pleased with him - on the authority of the Messenger of God - ﷺ - he said: “He who calls for guidance will have a reward similar to the wages of those who follow him, and that will not detract from their reward in the slightest.” . [will be returned with number: 1606].4- So I wanted to help the good people by facilitating his way, referring to him, clarifying his behavior and referring to him, so I mentioned in the beginning of the book important chapters that the author of this book and other carers need; And if among the Companions there were those who were not well-known among those who did not take care of knowledge, I drew attention to him, and said: We narrated on the authority of So-and-so of the Companion, lest his companionship be doubted.5- In this book, I limit myself to the hadiths in the famous books that are the foundations of Islam, and they are five: “Sahih Al-Bukhari”, “Sahih Muslim”, “Sunan Abi Dawood”, “Al-Tirmidhi” and “Al-Nasa’i”; I have narrated a small number of other famous books.6- As for the juz’ and musnads, I do not narrate anything from them except in rare cases, and I do not mention from the well-known origins of the weak except the rare with an explanation of its weakness, but I only mention the right in it often (3), so I hope that this book is a reliable original.7- Then I do not mention from the section of the hadiths except what was evident in the matter.8- By God, the Most Gracious, I ask for success, representation, assistance, guidance and maintenance. Facilitating what I mean of good deeds, persevering in all kinds of bounties, and bringing me and my loved ones together in the abode of His honor and all other aspects of pleasure.9- God suffices me, and He is the best trustee, and there is no might or power except with God, the Mighty, the Wise, what God wills, there is no power but in God, I rely on God, I hold fast to God, I seek God’s help, I delegate my affairs to God, and I entrust him (4) Whoever is kind to me and all Muslims, and all that he has bestowed upon me and them in terms of the hereafter and the world, for if something is entrusted to him, Glory be to Him.
